The Family Room
Since the earliest days of the grand waterfront resorts, gathering over a great meal has been an essential part of the Muskoka experience. At Port Cunnington Lodge, that tradition continues in a way that feels true to the setting today. Our historic lakeside Family Dining Room, located in the Main Lodge built in 1890, features vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams, high dormer windows, and sweeping views of Lake of Bays. The space blends classic Muskoka character with a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Closed July 25 through August 1, and open for special events only in September and October.

Open Friday, October 9 through Monday, October 12, serving breakfast each morning, takeout lunch, and a harvest-style buffet dinner.
Yes. The Family Room is open to both lodge guests and the local community.
Reservations are recommended for dinner, especially during peak summer months. Guests can reserve a table easily through Yelp on our dining page, by calling the lodge, or through the front desk if staying with us.
Yes, breakfast is offered as a grab-and-go coffee and pastry station, featuring house-made baked goods like scones and cinnamon buns, along with house-made granola, all available in The Pantry (self-serve, at check-in) from 8am–11am.
Yes. In addition to the buffet, simple kid-friendly options are available each evening, with selections changing daily and including items like pasta, chicken tenders, sliders, or mac and cheese.

Tuesday evenings through the summer, enjoy a truly unique Muskoka experience with a cruise aboard the SS Bigwin. Built in 1910, the fully restored steamship was used between 1925 and 1970 to ferry passengers and golfers to the famous Bigwin Island. The ship has a covered space for relaxing as well as an upper deck for taking in the expansive vistas of Lake of Bays. After your cruise, enjoy a Station Buffet meal in our lakeside dining room.
