Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, there is a hair dryer, iron and ironing board in each of the accommodations.

No, we currently do not have a meal plan.

Please bring beach towels, sunscreen and bug spray. The accommodations are equipment with a coffee makers and filters. Please feel free to bring your own coffee.

Yes, we have plenty of docking at Port Cunnington Lodge. Please inform guests services at time of your reservation if a boat slip in requested. If you would like to reserve a covered slip, the rate is $150.00 per week.

No we don’t provide cribs or play pens.  We ask that parents bring their own pack n’ play for their infants/toddlers.

Check-In is at 4:00 P.M. and Check-Out is at 10 A.M.

We are open from mid-May until mid-October.

For your convenience, we have complimentary Wi-Fi service throughout the property. Please note however, that the strength of the service can be inhibited by weather, number of devices connected at the same time on property and of course your own electronics. We invite guests to refrain from live-streaming of movies, and use it minimally while you are here – you are after all, on vacation!

Unfortunately the lodge does not provide babysitting. Please contact the front desk and we can put you in contact with a travelling nanny.

We do not have cots or cribs.

Most cottages have full kitchens. All other accommodations come equipped with a bar fridge, and coffee maker.

Yes. Our water is treated and tested in accordance with the Ontario drinking water standards.

The dress code is smart casual.

We try to accommodate all dietary restrictions. Please notify us at the time of booking.

Yes we have a children’s menu.

We do not have a spa. Our front desk can direct you to several different spas, located in Huntsville.

The accommodations do not have air conditioning. Many rooms do have ceiling fans.

We have coin operated laundry facilities located in the main lodge.

If there is no fire ban, we allow campfires at the fire pit. Wood is provided.

Generally if you are a resident over 18 years and under 65 years old, you require a resident fishing license. Non-residents 18 years of age and older require a non-resident fishing license. For further details visit the Ministry of Natural Resources.

We do not have a pool. We have beautiful sandy beach on Lake of Bays.

A resort fee of 8% is applied to all room nights. This includes parking, WIFI in all units, waterfront with two beached, canoes, stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, hiking trails, putting green, shuffleboard,  outdoor tennis courts, and basket ball.

All occupancy per unit is based on two people per bedroom. Please see our rates, for the number of guests included in the rate. Day Visitors are charged $25 per person per day.

Booking Policies

All of our Muskoka Cottages/Chalets are rented for one-week stays during the peak season with the exception of Sandpiper which can accommodate shorter stays during the summer.

Prices are subject to change without notice. All of our prices are per cottage and include the number of guests indicated. Over minimum occupancy, please add $50 pp./day. All rates are subject to applicable taxes and an 8% resort fee.

Deposit Policy
July and August bookings – 50% at time of booking. Balance 14 days prior to arrival.
Spring and Fall – 50% at time of booking. Balance 14 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation & Refunds
Fourteen (14) days’ notice is required for a deposit refund for spring and fall reservations. Reservations for July and August must be cancelled 60 days prior. A $50.00 administration fee applies to all cancellations.

Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in time is 4 pm.
Check-out time is 10 am (Late check-outs will incur a half-day charge)

We will make every effort to have your accommodation ready for 4pm, but check-in delays may occur during peak rental times. We appreciate your patience. IF you will be arriving after 9pm please inform the office in advance to make arrangements for a late check-in.  No refunds will be given for late arrivals.

Dietary Requests
Dietary requests will be honoured if the Lodge is notified at the time of booking.

Waterfront & Other Facilities
The waterfront and other facilities of the lodge are only for our guests, we do not offer a day-use package.

Lifejackets are available for rental.

Housekeeping
Our housekeeping staff works diligently to prepare each unit in preparation for your arrival. Daily housekeeping is not included in your daily rate but can be arranged for a nominal fee. For stays four nights or longer, you will receive a mid-week clean and linen change. Bed linens and bath towels are provided but we do request that you bring beach towels. Damage charges will be applied to your credit card in the event that excessive cleaning is needed following your departure.

Lost & Found
We are not responsible for items left behind but will make every attempt to return them if notified within 7 days of your departure. Shipping charges will be charged to your credit card on file.

Smoking
All guest rooms and all other indoor areas including the dining room are smoke-free.
A charge of $250 will apply if found smoking in the cottages or suites.

Pets
Regretfully, we cannot accept pets.
